Entry Level Structural Engineer (1-5 years) – York PA, Baltimore MD, Washington D.C.

We are looking for a hard-working, self-motivated entry-level engineer for our offices. As an entry level engineer, you will work on a variety of project types and deliver projects from design development through construction. PSDC will anticipate a variety of technical experience in order to fully prepare you to sit and pass the PE/SE exam. Project management experience will be provided as part of your growth in the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
  • Coordinate project schedules with your prospective project managers to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Produce and complete project delivery submission drawing sets to the client and project manager’s satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in structural engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of analytical software including SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Revit, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Project Manager (5-10 years) – Baltimore MD, Washington D.C.

We are seeking to hire a project manager who has experience in medium to large size projects such as office buildings, multi-family construction, healthcare and historic preservation projects. A project manager would be expected to be able to primarily manage a project without immediate oversight and deliver projects with the support of project engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, coordination, planning, and completion of projects.
  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements as well as defining scope for the project (project budget included).
  • Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
  • Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
  • Manage project design and deliverables as well as other design team members, supervise the work of engineers and modelers, and direct project staff in preparing contract documents such as drawings and specifications.
  • Understand and track financial information related to the project.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in structural engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of analytical software including SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Revit, AutoCAD.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • PE/SE licensure.
